Prototype has a large community-documented cosmetic catalog, but not every named design belongs to the same status. Some skins have appeared as normal Points purchases, some were free, some are tied to events or milestones, and others are planned, removed, scrapped, or only unconfirmed concepts. Check the current in-game shop before spending or following an unlock claim.
Skins are cosmetic records, not build upgrades. Prototype’s coil decisions and battery management remain the same unless the live description explicitly says otherwise. For gameplay, use the Prototype survivor guide.

Understand the status labels
Standard shop means a community page recorded the skin with a Points price. It does not prove that the item remains purchasable today. Free means the recorded price was free, but an event, ownership condition, or temporary distribution may still apply. Seasonal means the item can depend on an event currency or limited window.
Special and milestone skins usually depend on a badge, quest, character level, or other achievement. Upcoming means the design was discussed or cataloged without confirmed live availability. Removed and scrapped mean you should not expect a normal purchase route. Unconfirmed concepts are not unlock instructions at all.
These labels keep planned art from being mistaken for a working shop item. If the live shop and a community record disagree, the live shop is authoritative.
More community-recorded shop skins
Other names recorded in Prototype’s community catalog include Roblokid, Quote, Domasp, The Joke-Explainer 7000, and additional set or crossover-inspired designs. Some entries have incomplete descriptions, placeholder prices, or uncertain release state. They belong on a watch list until the client shows an equip or purchase route.
Do not infer rarity from price alone. PWNed BY 14:00 can use event currencies, badges, quests, Points, and level milestones. A high historical Points value does not automatically mean limited, and a free record does not automatically mean permanently available.
Special, future, and removed records
Community documentation separates ideas such as FireIce, Roxstar, Silent Rob, and various prototype-style concepts from clearly purchasable entries. It also labels some designs unconfirmed. Treat those names as development records, not a reason to trade, pay another player, or use an external claim link.
Old Spirit Killer and Flamo’type have been documented as removed, while Madotsuki has been listed as scrapped. Removed cosmetics may still appear in old screenshots or player inventories. Their appearance in a video does not prove that a new account can obtain them now.
Verify a skin in the live shop
Open the current shop, choose Prototype, and enter the skins panel. Search the exact displayed name, then record the currency icon, price, ownership condition, preview, and equip state. If the item is absent, check official update notes or the official community route; do not buy an off-platform “code” from another player.
Preview the model at several angles. Make sure it belongs to Prototype and not a similarly named character. Then equip it and confirm the lobby or match model changes. A cosmetic should not change coil power, battery, hitbox, or movement; report any apparent gameplay effect as a possible bug rather than treating it as an advantage.
Choose what to unlock
Prioritize a skin you can verify and will use over an incomplete future listing. If you are saving Points, recheck the shop immediately before purchase because prototype pricing can change. Seasonal currency may expire or serve several characters, so compare the remaining event time and other rewards.
Badge and milestone cosmetics should be pursued through the live requirement shown by Roblox or the game. Never give another user account access to “unlock” one. For badge history, match the official badge name and owner to the official experience rather than relying on a screenshot.
What still needs in-game testing
The complete live roster, exact prices, currency types, limited availability, milestone thresholds, and ownership behavior all require a current client check. Custom sounds or visual effects also need verification, especially after the Stalker and other character reworks changed related content.
This index intentionally excludes unverified acquisition instructions. Return to the Skins hub to compare other character catalogs and use the check date on every card before treating it as current.
